PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION
Develop, implement, govern and manage local Compensation tools, programs and processes for assigned Business functions and in adidas AG. Participate in the development, implementation, governance and management of global Compensation tools, programs and processes. Both so that our employees are paid competitively and gender neutrally and meet the needs of our employees in all generations to create moments that matter and reasons to join and stay.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Salary Benchmarking
- Primary thought leader on survey usage approach and compensation benchmarking methodology for North America
- Creation of benchmarked pay ranges for North America across multiple business units and functions.
- Represent North America within Global Comp organization as subject matter expert on benchmarking topics.
- Consultation with HRBP’s on benchmarking results.
Annual Compensation Program Execution
- Support the administration and implementation of annual Short Term Incentive (STI) program including target plan alignment, employee mapping, collection & communication of target achievements, and annual award calculations
- Support of localized incentive programs including Sales Comp, Retail Store, and Distribution Center programs as needed
- Partner with Global Compensation and Rewards Leadership in implementation and administration of Long Term Incentive Program
- Key member of Annual Base Pay Compensation Review for North America
Compensation Program Design
- Define, design and maintain local Compensation concepts and policies within global frameworks, including creation and updating policy documents. Example: new Sales Compensation and Commission programs
- Implement, improve, and communicate local Compensation policies and programs.
- Contribute to Global Compensation programs and projects as key extended team member
HR Business Partner Support and Engagement
- Create comp package proposals for HRBP’s/ Line Management
- Perform, review and consult on grading for HRBP’s for all Senior Director and above roles as well as on ad hoc requests
Executive Compensation
- Participate in executive compensation topics through usage of relevant tools, programs and processes
- Collaborate with GBS Hire-to-Retire organization to enable excellent administration of Compensation policies, tools and processes.
Data Reporting and Analysis
- Define and execute local and functional reports.
- Refine standardized reports to relevant analysis
Training, Communication and Change Management
- Design and execute change management concepts for local, strategic and global Compensation programs
- Provide technical and process trainings to HR where applicable
- Create, prepare, deliver local/individual communications on global, local and strategic Comp programs
- Upskill HR services on local Compensation & Benefits programs as neccessary
- Upskill HRBP’s on global, local and strategic Compensation & Benefits programs.
Compliance
- Identification and implementation of new local legal requirements such as minimum wage laws
- Ensure full compliance with legal, labour relations, tax and social insurance requirements
- Define and execute locally relevant actions related to audit findings including follow-ups on action items

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or equivalent level of experience
• Minimum of 6+ years of overall work experience within Rewards including Compensation
• Strong Project Management and process design experience
• Experience working in an international environment preferred
• High level of affinity to and experience with Business computing solutions, ideally with SAP-HR
