Discovery Land Company is seeking a full-time, year-round Compensation Manager to join the Human Resources Department.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Compensation Manager to join our dynamic human resources team in Beverly Hills. The Compensation Manager plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company’s goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs, including executive compensation.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Provides advice to project and corporate HR Business Partners on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Designs creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize HR information systems and data analytics tools to track and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs, making data-driven decisions to improve these programs over time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation management, including executive compensation, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Solid knowledge of compensation best practices, market trends, and applicable labor laws.
  • Experience in job evaluation and salary structure design.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data analysis tools and HR information systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovate, and solve complex problems related to compensation and benefits.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be an advanced user with experience linking multiple worksheets and external databases using pivot tables.
  • Experience managing independent workload and juggling multiple priorities.

Compenation Range: $130,000-$150,000 USD, plus bonus
