This role will be located at Discovery Land Company’s Corporate Office location in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Discovery Land Company is seeking a full-time, Senior Compensation Manager to join the Human Resources Department.

Job Summary:

The Compensation Manager will partner closely with our CHRO on executive compensation and managing annual compensation processes while working on adhoc compensation analytics. This position is responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the annual compensation process for 20+ locations for executive review.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Provides advice to project and corporate HR Business Partners on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Designs creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation management, including executive compensation, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Solid knowledge of compensation best practices, market trends, and applicable labor laws.
  • Experience in job evaluation and salary structure design.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data analysis tools and HR information systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovate, and solve complex problems related to compensation and benefits.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be an advanced user with experience linking multiple worksheets and external databases using pivot tables.
  • Experience managing independent workload and juggling multiple priorities.
  • In office position, not remote.
