Ellucian is seeking a Compensation Partner for our People Team. This is a great opportunity to blend your analytical and human resources expertise and help us develop data analysis that will impact our business strategy and help us execute our long-term HR initiatives. Where you will make an impact
- Manage compensation programs for Ellucian, including the development/maintenance of base salary ranges and incentive targets for the Company’s various business lines.
- Partner with HR Business Partner and line of business managers and leaders to analyze jobs, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of pay practices
- Conduct proactive competitive analysis and recommends program enhancements as necessary in line with job architecture and market trends.
- Manage projects, such as salary budget planning and developing/maintaining job architecture, salary structures and equity process
- Assist with the Company’s compensation review processes (annual and mid-year compensation & promotion cycles, quarterly equity grant cycles).
- Partner with finance to ensure accruals are accurate and administer equity programs
- Develop & deliver compensation-related training programs communication and materials
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports
- Determine Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) classification for new and current positions in partnership with legal
- Audit & resolve data integrity issues to ensure quality of data in HRIS system and collaborate with others to present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner to resolve any anomalies.
- Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Assess and analyze human capital data, both horizontally across all businesses and vertically within a business area to draw out human capital insights at Ellucian.
- Conduct and participate in salary surveys, interpreting market data and performing proactive competitive analysis against
- Ellucian compensation practices, including salary ranges, incentive targets internal equity and legal compliance of pay practices
- Evaluate and classify positions into the existing compensation structure, by understanding scope of responsibilities and influence
What you will bring
- 3-5 years of compensation experience in a role that involves Compensation, HR systems and database management with direct collaboration with business leaders
- Demonstrated knowledge of compensation practices with an ability to provide guidance to leaders and employees through a consultative approach
- Experience with compensation market analysis, design software and benchmarking tools such as MarketPay
- Experienced administering annual salary and incentive processes within a matrixed, global environment.
- Ability to make recommendations for senior management
- Advanced Excel knowledge and experience (Pivots, V-Lookups, Advanced Formulas, Graphs/Charts) & Power Point skills
- Previous work experience within HRIS systems (Success Factors preferred)
- High attention to detail with focus on accuracy and effective maintenance of people data
- Ability to provide fast turnaround when needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Data driven mentality with a bias towards thoughtful action
- Highly effective project management skills with an ability to work on and lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Outstanding communication & presentation skills, possessing the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the organization
- A self-starter and able to work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
