As a Compensation Advisor, you’ll proactively collaborate with HR and assigned client group leadership to identify / address issues, and implement compensation initiatives, while advocating on behalf of all Partners.

What is the work?
Advising:
– Consults with client group(s), HR Team, and business Leadership regarding programs, policies, and processes
– Provides market analysis, position evaluations, job classifications, and assistance with job creation and documentation to assigned client groups
– Advises on salary structure development, organizational structure, FLSA exemptions, pay / bonus plans, budgetary impacts, and compliance with regulations and labor laws
– Organizes / directs activities involving communication, execution, implementation, and modification of programs and policies
– Develops / presents communications for HR business partners, client group Leadership / Partners
– Leads salary program(s) administration; reviews survey data submissions

Analytics:
– Analyzes economic trends, compensation statistics, and market / business / survey data to support salary program recommendations related to annual planning and strategic / tactical projects
– Develops costing models, reports, metrics, and analysis as needed
– Develops / provides reports, metrics, analysis as needed
– Researches / analyzes / monitors government compliance programs and regulations
– Retrieves / analyzes HRIS data

Project Management:
– Leads company-wide programs / projects, from inception to implementation, including merit cycles, incentive programs, job family work, and annual planning
– May perform scenario testing through model creation to diagnose impact on / issues with new initiatives

Mentoring:
– May mentor or direct Compensation Advisors I and II

What is your background?
– A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
– 5+ years of experience in Compensation, HR, or business
– Experience in financial analysis

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Comp Advisor?
– Proficiency in MS Office and software / applications (e.g., HRIS, PeopleSoft) required by the job
– Advanced verbal / written communication and presentation skills
– Advanced interpersonal and consulting skills
– Advanced analytical, project management, and organization skills; attention to detail
– Negotiating and influencing skills
– Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret / analyze data
– Ability to communicate confidential information in a professional manner
– Strong collaborative workstyle
