Short Description

A Herc Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and administering compensation programs that align with the organization’s goals and strategies. A compensation analyst will conduct market research, benchmarking, and data analysis to ensure that the compensation policies and practices are competitive, fair, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards. In this role, you will have a direct company impact as a result of your decisions that will make you part of a high-powered, data driven, collaborative team that is mission critical to achieving company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple compensation projects and processes, working independently or with guidance on complex matters
  • Ensure a high level of customer service, including timely and effective communication, education of multiple stakeholder groups, and support of inquiries
  • Conducts regular compensation data compliance audits as related to payout calculations and approvals as well as population internal equity alignments
  • Act as a resource to Business Partners and Managers on compensation policy and practice
  • Support projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization strategies
  • Build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics to support key business decisions
  • Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders across organization
  • Assist in evaluation of new jobs and locations for placement into Herc’s structure
  • Coordinate and prepare data upload files for annual merit and off-cycle wage increases
  • Conduct scheduled population analysis to highlight inconsistencies and provide recommendations for solutions
  • Support HR team with all compensation related requests in relation to ADP Lifion
  • Maintain plan accruals information up to date in conjunction with dedicated HR Manager
  • Actively revise job descriptions for content updates and standardization
  • Contribute to the closing and fulfillment of emails received to teams shared email inbox
  • Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike
  • Support all team members
  • Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols

Requirements

Educational Background

BA/BS University degree required, or comparable experience strongly preferred
