Your Responsibilities

  • Evaluates the organizations compensation and incentive plans with the goal to implement a consistently competitive and effective compensation structure for the company.
  • Collects and analyzes data on the organizations current compensation and incentive plans; compares this data to comparable plans and programs offered by competitors, similar companies in the industry, and similar companies in the geographic area.
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
  • Conducts periodic assessments of incentive plans and any implemented changes; presents findings to Finance, HR, and Management.
  • Develops and manages the reporting structure within HRIS setting up proper hierarchies and reporting relationships to run accurate reports for compensation planning, benefit reporting, and roll up of departmental information to each area/organization. May work with payroll or Human Resources business partners, coordinators, and Payroll system administration such as ADP and others to maintain HRIS system for accuracy and leverage software and capabilities.
  • Responsible for maintaining compensation data in ADP (Salary, Bonus, and Commissions) including all compensation changes with a high importance on keeping ADP up to date and accurate. Working cross-functionally with finance to ensure all comp changes are approved.
  • Attend monthly Business Review meetings with Department Leaders and FP&A to discuss Headcount and Compensation.
  • Works to develop career paths within disciplines, developing a tiered structure for job progression, setting up levels and salary data for each job family adjusting to market changes.
  • Plans and communicates preferred methods and best practices for hiring, compensating, and evaluating employees.  Works with external sources and the internal HR team to assist.  Prepares analysis for review with CHRO.  Consults with the CFO and Finance team for budgeting purposes and approvals on recommendations.
  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate title and salary range.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence and resources to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales from benchmark data to be reviewed by the CHRO and approved by the CFO for budgeting purposes.
  • Monitors and collects information, including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job. Maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization and works with others on the HR team to ensure there is a job description for each position that reflects accurately the job duties.
  • Leverages the resources for assistance on job description backlog and completion. Works with Recruiting to ensure each role that is posted, has a job description and market analyses and aligns with internal equity.
  • Responds to government surveys and DOL guidelines as well as other agency requests.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
  • Implements job analysis instruments and materials for review with the CHRO.
  • Other duties and reporting as assigned for Government and Benefit reporting that are subject to change.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required or 3 years’ experience in a human resources analytical role such as compensation or payroll.
  • Good working and practical knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Good working knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience managing reporting structure within HRIS setting up proper hierarchies and reporting relationships to run accurate reports for compensation planning, and roll up of departmental information to each area/organization.
  • Knowledge of compensation strategies and incentive programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient with Excel, Pivot tables, compensation software, databases, and the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
