Job Summary

This Compensation Data Analyst will act as a lead on all compensation survey participation, analysis, upkeep of our compensation survey management tool, and ad-hoc market pricing for our Compensation Partners. You’ll be a team player ensuring all outputs are QA’d from the team and processes are followed to ensure compliance for controls and audits. You’ll also conduct ongoing maintenance, proposal process improvement, reconfiguration, and implementation of systems. Data accuracy will be paramount. The partnerships will consist of providing data to our compensation and HR business partner in an efficient and effective manner, creating process improvement and automation where possible and provide a quality client experience. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Compensation.

Job Requirements

  • 5 or more years of compensation experience work with medium to large organization(s) and with global public companies, preferred
  • 2 or more years of compensation survey and systems experience with all compensation elements (base, variable, and equity)
  • Comfortable working on the day to day, repetitive tasks and stretching and developing with new projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, HRIS platforms, data analytics software (PowerBi), salary surveys
  • Ability to create automation, integration, and reconfiguration of tools to be user-friendly
  • Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state legislation and labor contracts that may affect compensation policies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and a strong collaborative, team approach to getting things done
  • Detail oriented, resourceful, good listener, data storyteller, analytical, process improvement driver, problem solver
  • Focus will be on compensation surveys, data, and global market analysis. Along with global, enterprise-wide data analytics. Conduct compensation market analysis, build methodology, model budgets, create complex data sets from multiple sources, and edit in front of high-level leadership on-the-spot
  • Survey participation & assessment. Compensation survey guru. Participate, assess, and ensure methodology is up to date. Share results with Compensation team.
  • Maintain and optimize Market Pay (survey management tool)
  • Create data automation & dashboarding that is user-friendly and intuitive. Budget, spend, burn-rate, etc.
  • Reporting for cross-functional partners (payroll, finance, etc.)
  • Ongoing analysis of all programs inclusive of geo diff, shift diff, sign on, retention, severance, and all special pay practices
  • Partner with HRIS on job code tables and with partners on any updates
  • Partner with HRIS on any large-scale employee movement
  • Understand the organizational architecture and impact on data
  • Thrive Rewards (annual compensation cycle) analysis & budgeting
  • Build reports for Finance, Payroll, etc.
  • Create annual calendars, trackers, and needs assessment from the team
  • Review debriefs and collaborate on solutions for improvement
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, such as, TA, HRIS, Finance, etc.
  • Data mapping for M&A
  • Special program analysis and administration
  • Procurement business owner for the compensation department


  • Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, data analytics or business curriculum preferred, but not required

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $118,000-$166,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
