Job Summary
The Director of Compensation plans, develops, and implements new and revised compensation programs, bonus and incentive programs, policies, and procedures to be responsive to the company’s goals and competitive practices. This position is responsible for ensuring thorough audits, completing legal reports, and administering company compensation programs in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Hours: Full Time
Pay: The estimated salary range for this position is $89,168.00 to $148,614.00 annually. (Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience and location.) **In addition, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation.**
Location: Remote or Hybrid (Taylorsville, UT)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, establish, and own the annual compensation work cadence.
- Manage common compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, and associated analysis.
- Ensure that base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs remain competitive and conform to current compensation strategy.
- Counsel leadership on and provide solutions for issues related to federal & state laws, EEO, ADA, FMLA, performance, and termination guidelines.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure pay structure, market analysis and other tools are up to date and facilitate correct hiring practices in relation to wage, FLSA and pay equity.
- Provide advice to managers on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs/issues.
- Manage the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) for corporate staff, including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions related to salaried employees.
- Develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data to various stakeholders in the company
- Work with the Compliance and HRIS Departments to develop and oversee control systems to deal with changes in legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Revise procedures, reports, and audits periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
- Responsible for all HR-related government reports and submissions (VETS OFCCP EEO, etc).
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees.

Education
Minimum- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Preferred- Certification HR certification
Experience
7+ years Previous experience in managing a company’s compensation program
Proven background in establishing and managing compensation and incentive projects and programs in a variety of companies and industries
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience working with and designing new base and variable compensation plans
- Strong Excel skills including advanced functions, pivot tables and macros
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage, lead and hold teams accountable.
- Strong sense of ownership, attention to details, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
- Initiative and resourcefulness in answering questions and resolving issues
- Data-driven mindset with experience in leveraging learning AI tools, metrics and analytics.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to change in a growing and evolving environment.
- Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments.
- Critical skills include ethical conduct, strategic thinking, decision making, multitasking, influencing, and personal effectiveness/credibility
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk and work with a computer for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and to handle other computer components.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
