Job Summary

Under general management supervision, supports the development and administration of base, incentive and equity compensation programs to ensure equitable compensation to Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, and to maintain a competitive position in the market. Assists in the design and implementation of regular and special pay plans which include merit programs, range assignments for new or revised jobs on the basis of market analysis and internal equity, new hire, promotion and demotion pay actions. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and rules related to compensation programs. Coordinates and manages Physician contracts. Consults, advises and makes regular recommendations with management regarding special pay plans, incentive plans, base compensation and Fair Market Value evaluations. Writes, revises and maintains job description/performance evaluation format and job descriptions. Conducts compensation surveys; compiles, analyzes and develops reports on salary data, market trends, and forecasts. Assists in the implementation and maintenance of a Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Analyzes day-to-day information needs for various human resource functions. Oversees the generation of regular and special reports regarding pay data and related information. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field.
  • Five years of compensation experience required, including prior experience with provider compensation required.
  • Knowledge of HRIS required.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications and development.
  • Knowledge of application of descriptive statistics for analytical purposes.
