The Opportunity
Ulteig is excited to announce that we are seeking qualified candidates for a Compensation Analyst role. We are looking for a Compensation professional that is driven, detail oriented with organizational and decision-making skills to support our US and Canadian Total Rewards Program. The Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting in the assessment and design of compensation strategies, programs, policies and guidelines. This role is a key member of the Total Rewards and Human Resources team and will provide analytical support in the administration of a variety of compensation programs such as; salary planning, salary structures, and incentive programs for the US and Canada. As a Compensation Analyst what you do is crucial to compensation activities that support attraction, engagement, and retention of Ulteig’s employee owners.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct market pay analysis to determine competitiveness of pay and make recommendations for pay adjustments.
- Conducts analyses of jobs, wages, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Participates in market-based compensation surveys analyzing results and market trends.
- Assists the administration of annual merit and incentive processes.
- Works collaboratively with Total Rewards Team, Payroll, and HRIS.
- Evaluates positions to determine FLSA exemption status.
- Develops communications and training for pay programs.
- Provides consultation and advice to HR Business Partners regarding pay decisions, compensation guidelines, best practices and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist in the research, development and creations of salary structures based on market data and compensation practices. Suggests appropriate placement of jobs into structures.
- Consults on promotional increases and new position salary grade assignments.
- Reviews the overall pricing and market pricing of jobs within a structure, makes recommendations on merit budgets.
- Ad-hoc reporting for various stakeholders (HRBP, Payroll, TA).
- Analyzes data for trends for recruitment, hiring practices, turnover, as it relates to pay.
What We Expect from You
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five plus years of related compensation and/or total rewards experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful of diversity.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $98,000*
* The salary displayed represents the middle of a range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
